몇주 전, 그러니까 비가 오던 날. 아스팔트를 뚫어버릴 기세로 몰아치던 날.

한 발짝도 움직일 수 없어 어쩔 수 없이 건물 상가에 들어가 비를 잠시 피하고 있는데, 내 앞에 한 버스가 멈춰 섰다.

그냥 버스인줄 알았는데 학원 버스. 아이들이 가득한 버스.

 

창밖의 비를 쳐다보는 아이들의 모습에 잠시 멍해졌다. 아이들의 눈에는 초점이 없었다.

꿈으로 가득차 아이다운 표정을 지어도 모자른 저 나이에.. 초점없이, 아무생각 없이 비를 쳐다보고 있는 아이들의 모습.

아이는 아이다웠으면 좋겠다. 

아이-답다 / Child-like / 아이-스럽다 / Child-ish/ 유치하다. 

 

*내용과는 상관 없지만 제목에서 생각나버린 Damien의 노래, Childish. 쿵짝하는 박자가 좋다. 재기발랄한 가사도.
